YT to MP3 in two taps
Copy the YT link, then tap Paste in the box above. That is the whole routine. The converter reads the link, shows the video so you can check it, and offers a big Download MP3 button. One more tap and the audio is on your phone.
We designed this page around the way people actually use it: on a phone, one-handed, between other things. The box is at the top, the paste button is big enough for a thumb, and the download buttons are plain, full-width and labelled with what they really do. Nothing moves around while you tap, and no button on the page opens an advert.
Step by step on every device
Android (Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox)
- In the YouTube app, open the video and tap Share › Copy link.
- Open yt-mp3.store in your browser and tap Paste.
- Tap Download MP3. A notification appears when it is done.
- Open Files (or My Files on Samsung) › Downloads to find the MP3. Music apps such as YouTube Music, Samsung Music, Poweramp and Musicolet pick it up automatically after a moment.
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- In the YouTube app tap Share › Copy link.
- Open yt-mp3.store in Safari and tap Paste.
- Tap Download MP3, then Download in the Safari prompt. A blue arrow appears in the address bar while the file saves.
- Open the Files app › Browse › Downloads. Tap the MP3 to play it. To keep it with your music, use an app such as VLC or Documents, or add it to Apple Music through a Mac or PC.
Windows and Mac
- Open the video in your browser and copy the address from the bar at the top.
- Paste it here and click Convert.
- Click Download MP3. The file appears in your Downloads folder.
Chromebook
Same as Windows and Mac. The MP3 saves to Files › Downloads and opens in the built-in Gallery audio player or any music app from the Play Store.
Faster on a phone: keep the page one tap away
If you convert YT to MP3 often, save this page to your home screen. In Chrome tap the ⋮ menu › Add to Home screen; in Safari tap the Share icon › Add to Home Screen. It then opens like an app icon, straight to the link box, with nothing installed.
What the buttons mean
- MP3 quality — tap 320, 256, 192, 128, 96 or 64 kbps (320 is pre-selected), then the big Download MP3 button. Use 320 or 192 for music, 64 or 96 for talks.
- M4A — YouTube’s original audio track, copied without re-encoding. Excellent on phones and Apple devices.
- WAV, FLAC, OGG, OPUS — the same audio for editors and players that prefer those formats.
- MP4 buttons — the full video with sound, from 1080p down to 144p, if you want the picture too.
Download links stay valid for about ten minutes. If you come back later, just paste the YT link again.

Shorts, live replays and music links
The converter recognises every common YT link shape: regular watch links, short youtu.be links, m.youtube.com mobile links, music.youtube.com song links, /shorts/ links and /live/ replays. Links that include a timestamp or a playlist tail are fine — the converter uses the single video and ignores the rest. A live stream can be converted only after it has finished and YouTube has published the replay.
A quick word on data use
Converting YT to MP3 on mobile data costs roughly the size of the file you download: about 1.4 MB per minute of audio, so 6 MB for a typical song. The preview player only loads if you tap it, so checking the video does not use data unless you choose to play it.
